Impressive Gleaning Impact in 2024!??? So far this year, Senior Gleaners of San Diego County volunteers have completed 396 gleans, contributed 5,460 hours of service, and harvested 206,445 pounds of fresh produce for those in need. What’s even more impressive is that this total already exceeds the full-year totals of the last five years! This speaks to the dedication of our volunteers and the growing need in our communities. ?? We’re thrilled to welcome Mimi Nguyen Mora to the Senior Gleaners Board of Directors as Treasurer!??? Mimi joins us after less than a year as a dedicated volunteer with the North County crew, bringing invaluable expertise from her 30-year tenure at L&T Precision, where she retired as co-president in 2022. Previously VP of Sales and Administration, Mimi helped shape the company’s success as a contract manufacturer of sheet metal & machining products in Poway. Before joining L&T, she worked as a computer programmer at Xerox. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mimi volunteers with Make-A-Wish and mentors with the Executive Women’s Summit. She holds degrees in Mathematics/Computer Science and Economics from UCSD. We’re also deeply grateful for her contributions to our recent 30th Anniversary celebration in September. Inspired by Senior Gleaners’ mission to reduce waste and support the community, Mimi is excited to give back and stay active.???
