The Senior Resource Center for Douglas County, Inc. (SRC), formerly known as Douglas County Senior Services, is the central go-to place for information about resources, opportunities, and services for seniors in Douglas County, KS. It also helps persons considering moving to Lawrence, KS, as their final destination. SRC itself provides many services directly to seniors, while also fulfilling its role helping seniors navigate the complexities of finding what they need that is offered by other organizations and agencies, wherever they are in the second half of life. SRC also serves as a clearinghouse of information useful to professionals who serve seniors (funding opportunities, job openings, continuing education, data, and so forth), as well as a place where the public can go to find seniors to fill their needs.
