She manages and coordinates a team of volunteers that go out and present information on dementia to the public. She also manages the MedicAlert + Alzheimer's Association program, which entails public safety training and outreach; and all of their Professional Education and training. Each of these roles involves maintaining relationships with other professionals in the field to continue to educate and train more individuals about Alzheimer's disease and the warning signs. Robin Dill Respite Advocate and Author https://lnkd.in/eAmAQgJM Robin implemented, launched and directed Grace Arbor, a 4 day per week program that targets participants with memory impairment, in 2005. Since 2005, this ministry has served hundreds of families. She stepped down as Director in mid-April, 2018 after feeling the call to invest her time assisting more churches as they consider respite ministries. Robin wrote and published Walking with Grace, a manual to help other faith based organizations launch respite ministries. In 2016, she published a revised edition called Walking with Grace Revised. Robin mentors churches and other community groups around the concept of respite programming. She presents workshops in her community and beyond around caring for the caregiver and normal aging vs dementia. Robin leads a caregiver support group in her community. Mary Fields Senior Advocate Mary Fields has always had a heart for senior adults and most recently served 10 years at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, extending compassionate care through hospital and home visits, grief counseling, and end of life pastoral care. Though she has officially retired from her position at the church, Mary remains engaged in her community through continual volunteer opportunities with senior adults. During her over 14 years career with Social Services, Fay witnessed first-hand the struggle for survival for low-income and vulnerable senior citizens. The Save Our Seniors program was born out of a desire to help this often overlooked group of individuals. After several years of working with both seniors and youths, Fay considered how the existing programs and services could be enhanced by adding an intergenerational approach and changed the organization name to Mending The Gap Inc. which reflects its current vision, to inspire the youth and enrich the lives of older adults through basic support, companionship and intergenerational programs.
