VetFuel, National Fuel Gas Company's employee resource group for veterans, is proud to support initiatives that celebrate and recognize the contributions of veterans in our communities. Recently, members participated in Veterans' Interview Day at Bilingual Center School 33 in Buffalo, NY, where they shared personal stories with eighth graders, highlighting the sacrifices of our nation's heroes. #Veterans #VetFuel #VeteransDay George Giles (photographed below) is an active-duty PA Army National Guard member in the 28th Infantry Division. Matt has spent six years volunteering with LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve, helping fellow veterans heal through shared experiences in a supportive environment. From facilitating hunting and fishing activities to guiding fellow veterans on their journeys, Matt embodies the spirit of service beyond the uniform. NFG Midstream employee George Giles, an Army veteran and member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, shares what Veterans Day means to him: "First and foremost, it is a great sense of honor to have had the opportunity to share in the Service of so many incredible brothers and sisters-in-arms for this Great Nation. Every Veteran has raised their hand to swear an oath to every citizen and ally of the United States. What sets our Veterans apart from other nations is that our service is not bound to only our Nation, but rather bound in a duty to humanity as well." Did you know that much of Seneca's operations is home to the timber rattlesnake, one of three venomous snake species in Pennsylvania? These protected creatures play a vital role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem, making it essential for us to coexist safely with them. Recently, we conducted a special training session for our employees and contractors focused on snake safety in the workplace. The training was led by Fred Tarnaski, a National Fuel Gas Company Midstream employee and passionate snake conservationist. His insights on avoiding dangerous encounters and promoting the protection of these important creatures are essential as we navigate their habitats during our operations.
