    Cooking Outbound Strategies That Don’t S*ck - @ The Kiln with Clay & Sales Automation

    Very few GTM teams know about this… And if you do, you are already killing it! Tools like Sendspark are a great way to send hyper-personalized explainer videos to your prospects at scale. But there’s no way to create custom landing pages to attach the Sendspark videos to and take this strategy to the next level! So Patrick Spychalski came up with a thought of using Sendspark videos along with hyper-personalized landing pages. I was tasked to make this happen at The Kiln, and I found a simple stupid way to do it using Clay x Sendspark… I built a custom code that you can simply add to your landing page to: 1. Hyper-personalized headlines - unique to each prospect. 2. Attach a custom GIF thumbnail for your prospects. When the prospect taps on it, it plays the custom Sendspark video. 3. Add prospect company logos to the landing page. To add some cherry on top, you can even embed your Calendly at the bottom of this page, allowing your prospects to directly book a call with you after watching the video.     Revenue @ Sendspark - On a campaign to get Americans to say football instead of soccer!

    We get close to 200 inbound demo requests a month at Sendspark Myself and Bethany have been big on the pull marketing model, how do we create enough noise to our target market to bring people to our website and book a demo. Which up until now I was handling all of these demos ?? ( in addition to all my other growth responsibilities at Sendspark) Through these past two months, I was able to build out a replicable playbook and process that meant we could hire people to come in and start closing business. Our inbound demo process now results in: 60% close rate 2 week demo to close ?? And we have now hired some rockstars to fill these roles. Pumped to announce our new inside sales reps Stefan Mrvic Amna Ramic Umer Durrani Stefan and Amna have been on board for a few weeks and are already closing deals! Umer joins today!     With holiday season around the corner... What are the best cold email campaigns to run? I've heard that you shouldn't start new cold email campaigns at the end of year. (People are about to take time off, which could delay your cycle, so why even try...) But, I don't like excuses! Instead of stopping cold emails, tweak them to match where people's heads are at. Here are 3 cold email campaign ideas: 1?? Budget Planning It's likely your buyers are planning their budgets for next year. Reach out and ask them if they're planning for something like your solution. Offer information on how you compare to their current solution (bonus points if you know they use your competitor & can directly talk about it), and how you could make their lives better in 2025. (S/O to Chili Piper who just sent us a great cold email about how their meeting scheduler could work much better for than our current tool). 2?? Black Friday Campaign People have a lot of feelings about whether or not you should discount (it can add urgency... but also tarnish your brand). So if your company is against discounting, skip this! But if you're open to discounting, keep in mind that a lot of buyers specifically LOOK for Black Friday deals, so it can drive some quick revenue. ??♀? If you do this, i'd recommend... - Only offer annual deals - Instead of overly discounting, make a "more for more" offer. What extra things can you give new customers that won't take away for your bottom line? (more features, educational content, guide onboarding, etc) 3?? Holiday Look-Alike Audience Is there a customer who had great success using your product at this same time last year? If so, use Ocean.io to find companies who "look alike" to them, and reach out suggesting the same use case. For example, this time last year, Keegan Otter (Software Cowboy ??) at Warmly, ran a campaign sending Sendspark AI-personalized videos to previous closed lost deals, highlighting new features they'd developed. They made $100k ARR in the month of December from this! So this year, we're running a look-alike campaign featuring that use case.     I sent 4000+ personal videos as an SDR. They generated nearly $4M in pipeline in 14 months. Here are the 3 BEST times to use video in your sales process: ???? 1. "Thanks for connecting" 8-12 seconds. No pitch. No sell. Just a genuine thank you when someone accepts your connection request. You'd be ASTONISHED at how many conversations started there. 2. "The Hand-off" For when you're introducing a prospect or buyer to someone else internally. (Think SDR>>> AE or AE>>>CSM) CC them in the thread with a text intro. Have the new internal contact REPLY with a 20-30 second video intro. This puts a face to a name and start the relationship off on the right foot. 3. "The Recap" Just what it sounds like. Use it to recap any meetings along the way. This allows stakeholder to catch up on the cliffnotes if they cannot attend live, also gives them something to reference back to when you go long stretched between meetings int he deal cycle. Keep it under 60 seconds. Pro tips: ALWAYS include a line of text when using video in your emails. ALWAYS start the clip off with a smile (no millennial pauses, folks). ALWAYS include a written CTA below the video thumbnail. If you need a video tool, I've been using Sendspark for the last year. Check em outtttt. ?? Here's what baffles me: We now have the technology to send personalized video messages to prospects and clients in LESS TIME than writing an email. Even better, video messages: ?? Build instant connection ?? Communicate complex ideas clearly ?? Create genuine trust through face-to-face interaction Yet over 90% of sales teams are still stuck in the 1990s, sending plain-text emails that scream, "I'm just another salesperson." It's baffling to me. Less time + Better results = No-brainer decision So why are we still hiding behind walls of text when we could be showing our real faces and human voices?? Your prospects deserve better than simply "following up." Your brand deserves better than being another faceless email. Your results deserve better than average open rates. The future of sales is human-first. And it starts with pressing a simple button called "record." Let's go, sales managers. It's time to raise the bar.
