With holiday season around the corner... What are the best cold email campaigns to run?
I've heard that you shouldn't start new cold email campaigns at the end of year.
(People are about to take time off, which could delay your cycle, so why even try...)
But, I don't like excuses!
Instead of stopping cold emails, tweak them to match where people's heads are at.
Here are 3 cold email campaign ideas:
1?? Budget Planning
It's likely your buyers are planning their budgets for next year. Reach out and ask them if they're planning for something like your solution.
Offer information on how you compare to their current solution (bonus points if you know they use your competitor & can directly talk about it), and how you could make their lives better in 2025.

2?? Black Friday Campaign
People have a lot of feelings about whether or not you should discount (it can add urgency... but also tarnish your brand).
So if your company is against discounting, skip this!
But if you're open to discounting, keep in mind that a lot of buyers specifically LOOK for Black Friday deals, so it can drive some quick revenue. ??♀?
If you do this, i'd recommend...
- Only offer annual deals
- Instead of overly discounting, make a "more for more" offer.
What extra things can you give new customers that won't take away for your bottom line? (more features, educational content, guide onboarding, etc)
3?? Holiday Look-Alike Audience
Is there a customer who had great success using your product at this same time last year?
If so, use Ocean.io to find companies who "look alike" to them, and reach out suggesting the same use case.
For example, this time last year, Keegan Otter (Software Cowboy ??) at Warmly, ran a campaign sending Sendspark AI-personalized videos to previous closed lost deals, highlighting new features they'd developed.
They made $100k ARR in the month of December from this!
So this year, we're running a look-alike campaign featuring that use case.
