    Back in August, I suddenly found myself in charge of fixing our struggling outbound motion, quickly, for Q3. There were 2 sides to Sendoso's outbound that I needed to improve: - Manual (traditional BDR motion) - Scaled (automation via Clay) I was confident in my ability to build and manage a BDR team - at the time, we only had 1 BDR, who was preparing to be promoted to AE. Hiring and training a new team felt manageable. The daunting part? Clay. I had no idea what Clay was beyond hearing about it on social, and honestly, I felt like a total tech grandma when Austin started explaining it to me. ?? Suddenly, I was responsible for a tool I didn’t understand - while also owning the outcomes it produced. All I knew was that we had to deliver - failure wasn’t an option. Outbound wasn’t performing as we needed it to, there was no extra budget or resources, and the pipeline goals for Q3 were large. Once I actually dove into Clay, it started to click. What Austin had built on the backend began making sense. We trained AI to do something I thought was impossible - scale automation without losing personalization. The results? ? Over $1M in sales-qualified pipeline generated per quarter with Clay ?
