In 2019 I knew nothing about (good) cold emails or (video) follow-ups.
Now it's my biggest channel.
3 things I did to become a cold email expert:
1. Avoid unnecessary information
"I hope you're doing well! I'm Alan, the CEO of..."
That's BS
Instead, use buying signals, triggers, or assumptions.
"Noticed you hired 2 AEs recently, that usually means..."
Stop talking about yourself.
Huge difference.
2. No pain no gain (literally)
No one cares about your features
Show them what’s wrong with how they do things now.
Explain what bad things could happen if they don’t change.
And link that to a specific solution you have for them.
Measure the cost of inaction, fast.
3. Use video in my follow-up
I use?Sendler.ai to do that
I record myself and send it at scale to all my prospects at once
95% of salespeople don’t use videos, but video follow-ups get more replies.
