Happy Veteran's Day! It is my experience that most people I come across recognize Veterans regularly and with high regard. I had a gentleman this weekend say to me while I was working at a store event: "I know you hear this a lot and some service members don't like when it's said, but really, thank you for your service." In the past I didn't know how to respond really that felt authentic and meaningful enough - but I simply respond "I appreciate that" or "you're welcome". The recognition is appreciated by Veterans, we just don't know what to say sometimes.
