U.S. Senator Thom Tillis from North Carolina visited our Kings Mountain site yesterday to get a firsthand view of lithium’s entire ecosystem, including mining, research, conversion and process development. Albemarle Energy Storage President Eric Norris and Chief Technology Officer, Energy Storage Glen Merfeld gave Senator Tillis a tour the site—a critical piece of Albemarle’s strategy to securing a lithium supply chain in the U.S.—and discussed how our products support a wide range of applications beyond just the EV market, including health, national defense, mobile devices and the energy grid.
