More than 70 percent of companies are targeted by ransomware gangs on holidays, weekends, and during material events. Semperis’ new global holiday #ransomware report 2024 Ransomware Holiday Risk Report: sheds light on the unrelenting risk ransomware has become, especially during holidays, weekends and material events such as mergers, IPOs and layoffs. 72% of organizations have been victims of ransomware during these periods. “Threat actors are calculated and persistent in their attack methods. Security awareness and functionality do not wax and wane. Semperis' new Ransomware Holiday Risk Report finds that 85% reduce SOC staffing by as much as 50% during these times.
