This past weekend, our SCSO Motor Unit ????? showed off their incredible skills at the Space Coast Police Motorcycle Challenge! ?? ?? A huge congratulations to Andrew Johnson for taking 1st place in the Metrics category and to Matthew Zumbrum for securing 2nd place in the same category. Outstanding performances by both! Additionally, our team achieved an impressive 5th place in the Overall Team Ride amidst fierce competition with over 100 skilled riders tackling the challenging course. We're proud of our team and their dedication to excellence. Thank you for representing us so honorably! ??

SCSO deputies were proud to participate in the Florida Forest Service "Fire Fest," Saturday. The event provides education on the benefits of prescribed burns, hands on wildlife demonstrations, and of-course, a visit with everyone's friend, Smokey the Bear.

This reaccreditation is a testament to our team's dedication to maintaining the highest standards of service and excellence in public safety. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Sheriff Leonard Albrecht on being named Deputy of the 3rd Quarter for the South Region. Deputy Albrecht assisted an elderly disabled female with setting up furniture after her neighbor helped her and bought furniture for her empty apartment. Deputy Albrecht informed the neighbor that after the hurricane that was due to make landfall that night passed, he would return to set the furniture up for her. We are so proud of him for going above and beyond. Great job!

?????????????????? ???????????? ?????????????????????? ??????????????: Have you ever wondered how to start a career in Corrections and are at least 18 years of age? This program will cover tuition and expenses for successful applicants to attend the full-time Corrections Academy at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office starting in March 2025. The position of Detention Deputy is responsible for the care and custody of incarcerated persons in the Seminole County Correctional Facility. Qualified candidates may apply for a paid sponsorship to attend the Corrections Academy to become a Detention Deputy. The hourly base salary for this position while in the Corrections academy is $20.00 an hour. After completion of the Corrections academy, you will receive the starting Detention Deputy salary of $58,024 ($25.95 per hour), plus the potential for additional holiday pay up to $2,800 for those employees who work twelve (12) hour shifts. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Sheriff Ariel Cruz on being the Employee of the 3rd Quarter for the East Region. Deputy Cruz assisted in apprehending a suspect involved in several robberies. Her quick actions prevented the suspect from victimizing any more residents of Seminole County. Congratulations Deputy Cruz!
