SIA applauds today’s announced #CHIPSAct incentives for?Corning Incorporated?and?Powerex Inc. These incentives will bolster American supply chain resilience by expanding U.S. capabilities in materials manufacturing and #semiconductor packaging. Corning’s expanded facility will produce advanced materials that improve performance and efficiency in semiconductor lithography, while Powerex’s expanded facility will provide crucial U.S. industrial and defense packaging. ? Third quarter global #semiconductor sales totaled $166.0 billion, an increase of 23.2% compared to the third quarter of 2023. Sales in September were $55.3 billion—the market’s highest-ever monthly total—and were driven by a 46.3% year-to-year increase in the Americas.” ?
