We’re sharing this with permission - and encouragement! ?? ? Many of you know Rochelle Aguilera, CPC here at SEMbio. With 15 years of experience recruiting in Medical Affairs, she's connected with so many of you over the years! Whether matching candidates with fantastic roles or finding top talent for clients, Rochelle has always been a pro at building relationships. ?? ? At the start of this year, though, you may have noticed she's been a bit quieter on LinkedIn or her number hasn’t popped up as frequently. That's because Rochelle recently received a diagnosis no one ever expects: cervical cancer. ? After a routine checkup detected abnormal cells, Rochelle made the proactive choice to have a hysterectomy in mid-December. On December 26th, she received the call confirming Stage 1B cervical cancer. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, rescheduling, and finding a new “normal” as she balances maintaining relationships alongside daily radiation (through mid-April), weekly chemotherapy (through May), and upcoming brachytherapy. ?? In typical Rochelle fashion - IYKYK ?? - she's not letting this slow her down. She’s still running trails with her four-legged buddy Hazel ??, and just last weekend, she ?????????????????? ???? ?????? ?????? ???? ?????????????????? ???????????????? while on vacation with our SEMbio team in Arizona. (Yes, her medical team was ?????????????? to hear this!) As one doctor said, "I think outside activity is going to be your medicine." ?? ? We share this to say that we’re supporting Rochelle in every way possible (because #weareSEMbio), and she’s facing this with the same grace, grit, and determination we’ve always admired. But mostly, it's a reminder:?????????????, ??????. ??????????????. ????????????????.?Thanks to her proactive approach, Rochelle caught this cancer quickly and early! ? If you know Rochelle (or even if you don’t), we hope you’ll join us in sending her some love and encouragement over the next few months!??? #GraceAndGrit #CervicalCancerAwareness #WomensHealth #GetChecked #ResilienceInAction
