Join the Movement for Unity: "Beyond Divide and Conquer: Unite and Build" – A Virtual Racial Equity Training In the wake of a divisive election season, our communities need spaces to reconnect and heal. As tensions rise and the political landscape deepens divisions, we invite you to take a step toward understanding, empathy, and unity. Join the Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth, and Reconciliation (SCNTR) for "Beyond Divide and Conquer: Unite and Build," a training designed to address the issues that divide us and build common ground based on mutual respect and justice. What to Expect: - Unpacking the Construct of Race: We’ll explore the historical and social forces that shape racial perceptions and influence politics, helping us understand the roots of division and create a pathway to productive dialogue. - Exploring the Cost of Racism: Through open and honest discussion, we’ll look at the social, economic, and emotional toll racism has on all of us and how these issues often resurface in political contexts. - Overcoming Hate with Love: Guided by Dr. King’s Kingian Nonviolence Principles, we’ll examine how love, empathy, and nonviolence can be powerful tools to bridge divides and foster a community where all voices are valued. This training is more than a class; it’s a call to action for anyone who believes in the power of unity and is ready to move from division to collaboration. Now, more than ever, let’s work together to create a future where all communities can thrive beyond politics and build real foundations for peace. No matter where you stand, we all have a role in creating a more just and connected society. Join this transformative experience and help build a more inclusive, united community. Register Today: https://bit.ly/NovRET! Let's turn division into an opportunity for dialogue, understanding, and progress.
