Dawn Wilson had a clear vision for Nature’s Way Farms – to build something special on her own terms. As an avid online shopper herself, she saw Amazon's store as the perfect place to bring that vision to life. With dedication and expertise, she’s turned her dream into reality. “The flexibility of ecommerce allows us to showcase our products 24/7, giving customers the convenience to shop at their own pace,” Dawn shares. Her intuition was spot on – in just one year, she's tripled her sales and is now connecting with a new generation of plant enthusiasts through Amazon.

    Happy International Women’s Day!

    查看Dharmesh Mehta的档案

    Vice President at Amazon

Today (March 8th) is International Women’s Day (IWD). It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and also serves as a call-to-action for accelerating gender equality. Earlier this week, I had the privilege of opening an event that our team held in celebration of IWD. It included powerful insights from a leadership panel moderated by Mary Beth Westmoreland and included Natalie Angelillo, Sunny Jain, and Priya Padmanabhan. They were followed by some inspiring thoughts from Jackie Beckman, the president of the Women at SPS Employee-Led Group, and an opportunity for colleagues to mix & mingle. These events always remind me of both the progress we are making towards women's equality but also how much more there still is to do. Mary Beth reminded us that according to the World Economic Forum, it will take until 2158 for women to achieve equality - which simply does not seem acceptable. It also makes it fitting that the theme for IWD this year is "Accelerate Action". I consider myself fortunate to work at a company that has strong values and believes that creating an inclusive and equitable environment is crucial for building the best products, services, and experiences to delight our large and diverse customer base. I also think it's so important that each of us takes an active role in this, and I shared at the event that I always use these moments to decide on an action I am going to take - whether it's something I'm going to start doing, stop doing, change in how I approach, or otherwise. I think that we all have to take action. I hope you all also take this moment to advocate and stand up for the right things whether within your team, community, or elsewhere. I think that is how we will “Accelerate Action” and create a more equitable world. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #WomenAtSPS

A year of living out of backpacks showed Allison Diemer and Tim Diemer, founders of TRIPPED Travel Gear, what travelers actually needed. Their experience revealed gaps in the market that needed filling—from quality to value. By integrating FBA, AWD, and Supply Chain by Amazon into their operations, they've built a business that runs smoothly while they develop new products and create travel guides for their community.

Cary Subel and Alaey Kumar, the founders of laptop case brand SafeSleeve, LLC, learned their first business lesson in a notoriously difficult industrial engineering class. Their professor gave them a challenging task and made them figure out how to get it done on their own. They’ve taken that lesson to heart while building SafeSleeve, learning as they go and tapping A+ Content to help tell a compelling story.

    Vice President, Technology at Amazon

Selling Partner Services showed up to celebrate International Women’s Day! We kicked off Women’s History Month and IWD with a standing-room only event in Seattle, and viewing parties across the globe, featuring opening remarks from Dharmesh Mehta who talked about the importance of inclusion and how it is deeply rooted in our culture. I got to moderate a panel discussion featuring leaders I deeply respect and admire: Priya Padmanabhan, Natalie Angelillo, and Sunny Jain. They offered guidance about being willing to take risks and fail, tackle new opportunities with curiosity, and the importance of building community and a personal support network. We wrapped up with messages from Women at Amazon SPS leaders Jackie Beckman and Anu Sairaj who were super inspirational, as always. This year’s IWD theme is #AccelerateAction and here’s why: according to the World Economic Forum, at the current rate of progress, it will take until the year 2158 to achieve global gender parity. That’s five generations from now - which does not feel great. And while we’ve made a lot of progress in recent decades, there is clearly so much more work to do. I love that our Amazon team is committed to accelerating action! Inspirational leaders and events like this are shining examples of why I love working here.
