There’s a huge focus on Nvidia’s earning report from yesterday, with everyone looking to Nvidia to tell us where the sector is going. These results matter, but they are just one slice of the whole pie. AI is about infrastructure, not hype. We should be looking at the real-world applications that demonstrate the tangible value of AI. Leadership in AI isn’t just about a single earnings report, it’s about deeply integrating AI into practical operations that drive immediate and measurable value. Understanding Nvidia’s results also means understanding the wider AI ecosystem, which includes crucial but less visible parts of the supply chain like data centers and semiconductor infrastructure. Not only are these highly correlated with Nvidia’s growth, they’re where a lot of the value lies in the AI supply chain.
