Our final day in Salt Lake City included tours of local business incubators Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, Doman Innovation Studio, and the Altitude Lab. Throughout the final day, our group participated in panel discussions on regional transportation and mobility and how Utah is addressing workforce challenges. ?? Strategic Visit Day 2: Tourism | Economic Overview | Sports ? “We want our kids to live near us not with us..." -Governor Spencer Cox, Utah. ? Day 2 of the Cobb Chamber Strategic Visit began with Utah's Governor, Spencer Cox, touching on affordable housing and improving the quality of life for Utah residents. ? Concluding Governor Cox's welcome, Ginger Chinn, Salt Lake Chamber, and Kori Ann Edwards, Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, provided an economic overview of Utah and Salt Lake City. ? Travel and Tourism discussions from Holly Quinlan, Cobb Travel & Tourism, and Tyler Gosnell, Visit Salt Lake, round out the morning. ? Kicking off the latter half of the day, the group had lunch prepared and hosted by Traeger, Inc. HQ. Following lunch, they joined Alex Lowe and Ben Lowe, Lowe Property Group, for a Post District Presentation and Tour. The economic benefits of sports in a community were discussed by Steve Starks, Larry H Miller Group, and Jeff Robbins, Utah Sports Commission. Stay tuned for day 3! #cobbtoslc

ATL ? SLC For the next few days, the Cobb Chamber and SelectCobb are bringing economic development partners representing Cobb County to the Beehive State. Day One was a travel day ending with a welcome reception hosted by our 2024 Cobb Chamber Chairman, Mike Plant of the Atlanta Braves. Over the next few days attendees representing higher education, tourism and hospitality, municipalities, county government, and top employers will explore Salt Lake City to bring best practices to implement in our region. #cobbtoslc
