How do you create an EV charging station enclosure that withstands extreme weather, meets stringent UL standards, and eliminates costly secondary processes? Ray Products partnered with SEKISUI KYDEX to find out. Faced with the challenge of replacing traditional manufacturing methods that required painting and failed to meet outdoor UL requirements, Ray Products provided the solution through advanced pressure forming, 6-axis robotic trimming, and 3D inspection technology. The result? A durable, weather-resistant, 11-part enclosure designed for easy assembly, consistent quality, and reduced production costs. By co-developing KYDEX? 1100UV, a material that offers UV resistance, in-mold color, and UL 746C F1 compliance, Ray Products delivered a solution that not only met the OEM's needs but also highlighted the potential of thermoformed thermoplastics in the growing EV charging market.
