    Most CX vendors are selling their AI platforms as if it's the pre-LLM era. You build a generic platform and force every customer to be pigeonholed into your way of things. But at Sei AI, we designed our platform from a few first principles - context and customizability. 1. We understand every customer's context thoroughly, the top things that move the needle, their pain points, scorecards, knowledgebase, risk tolerance, interpretations of regulations, etc. We take them all in and build custom policies that the AI can work off of. 2. We don't force our customers to change their processes and the way they currently function. We have built a product that works for them and them only. On day 1, we realized that our entire architecture needs to be modular with the ability to do what we call "extreme customization". So when they see our product in action - they don't even realize they are looking at a generic platform, but a product that is custom-built for them. In case, you are wondering, we onboard customers in 2-3 weeks - this is possible because we made these design choices before we even built the platform!     Not a lot of people are talking about DeepSeek-R1's ability to distill smaller models for custom use cases. At Sei AI, customizability is the core tenet. Whether it’s policies, reporting, or UI - our platform is built to adapt to each customer’s needs with unique features and usability. No two customers of ours have the `same` product experience. With R1 enabling cheaper, better reasoning and RL-only training (bypassing the costly SFT), we can go one level deeper - distill smaller models tailored to each customer. Heck, to each of their specific use cases. This not only cuts costs but also provides o-1 level reasoning and accuracy. The floodgates are truly open - open-source FTW!

    OpenAI launching Operator is just the beginning of the AI Agent wars. Expect every major AI player to launch their own browser-based agents over the next 6 months. There's a joke that the biggest competitor for startups creating wrappers around LLMs are the LLMs themselves - and it feels more true with every new release. That being said - the value AI unlocks is directly related to how well it understands the specific needs, policies and nuances of the business that is using it. For eg - OpenAI is working with Doordash, Instacart and Etsy to incorporate Operator to test certain use cases. But I doubt any LLM could address the industry-specific problems that millions of businesses face. In my opinion - the field is still pretty open for startups that are going narrow and deep.
