Continuous pumping transitions between wells at high bpm are key to maximizing efficiency and production and reducing cost.?? 3 reasons why this isn’t continuous pumping, let’s break it down: Reason #1 See those gaps between the peaks? That’s dead time, also known as non-productive time (NPT). Instead of seamlessly moving between wells, they’re bleeding down, wasting both time and efficiency. Reason #2 When we talk about continuous pumping, we mean it—pumping should be uninterrupted, and not just at 5 bpm. Downing transitions at significantly higher rates. Reason #3 With true continuous pumping, the transition should almost be a V-shape, with minimal to no flat time between pressure down and pressuring back up.
