SparkShop is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to inspire and mobilize the next generation of America’s innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs, engineers & manufacturing geniuses. SparkShop empowers students to apply their skills to engineering challenges and see their value in the STEM fields. We focus on inspiring 4th and 5th graders with a mix of visits from our staff of engineers and interdisciplinary, connected curriculum for their teachers. We believe the US needs a larger and more diverse pool of technical talent and we're ready to help!

We had a fantastic packing event with our friends at Cboe Global Markets! Thanks to such a fun and productive group, we prepared kits for our Electrical Engineering Unit. Students are learning all about electrical engineering through hands-on projects like creating paper circuit boards and working with motors, dynamos, and more! Our favorite middle-grade engineering book, Maya and the Robot by @eve.ewing, is also coming back! We're so excited about this unit and can't thank Cboe enough for helping to make it possible.
