SeedFundersOrlando is thrilled to announce our latest pre-seed investment in Ainthoven. Ainthoven, a #Melbourne, #Florida #medtech startup, is developing first-of-its-kind machine learning technologies to detect life-threatening heart conditions using pediatric and young adult screening electrocardiograms (ECGs), which will help prevent sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in children and adolescents. Ainthoven recently closed an oversubscribed $500K pre-seed round from SeedFundersOrlando, Catalyst by Wellstar, and 11 individual investors. “SCA is a leading cause of death in children and adolescents,” said Evan Ernst, cofounder and CEO of Ainthoven. “Electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings save lives by helping to identify heart conditions that could lead to SCA. Unfortunately, there are very few experts at pediatric ECG Interpretation in the United States, and many kids don’t have access to this important technology.
