Another partner we're excited to showcase as part of our Giving Tuesday celebration is Nature in the City! Founded in 2005 by Peter Brastow, Nature in the City is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and cultivating natural habitats in the greater San Francisco area. Nature in the City has over the last twenty years organized nature walks, community events, wildlife gardening initiatives, and general learning opportunities for the people of San Francisco and emphasizes that San Franciscans of all backgrounds and walks of life have access to the Bay Area's natural beauty. As its 20th anniversary is in full swing, Nature in the City has teamed up with Seed Consulting to enhance the grassroots organization's outreach! Seed consultants and volunteers have helped Nature in the City identify the organization's most effective central activities, collect important data from event participants, and reach more San Franciscans and beyond through improved communication via channels such as LinkedIn and monthly newsletters. Seed has even assisted Nature in the City with revamping its Website so that people curious about the organization and eager to follow it can more easily learn more! Seed continues to work with Nature in the City and wishes it all the best in protecting San Francisco's natural habitats for all San Franciscans to enjoy! As part of our celebration of this year's Giving Tuesday, we're excited to showcase some of our partners and what we've accomplished together! Today, we want to showcase The Friends of Coyote Hills, a volunteer group in Orange County that works to preserve the natural landscape of West Coyote Hills in the Fullerton, CA region for future generations! Friends of Coyote Hills (FoCH) was established in 2001 by Connie Spenger with the main goal of saving all 510 acres of West Coyote Hills as a nature preserve. As Orange County is a very urbanized region of California, West Coyote Hills is one of the last remaining natural open spaces in the county and developers consider it a prime location to develop. FoCH's thousands of members are eager to make sure that the community can enjoy this jewel of biodiversity here in Southern California and have worked hard to achieve this goal. Seed Consulting Group is working with FoCH to do precisely that, to make it easier for the group to protect West Coyote Hills for future generations to enjoy and be inspired by! At Seed, we value continuous learning and up-skilling so that we can always improve and build upon our consulting services for all of our partners. This past weekend, fifty members from all Seed Consulting Group chapters united for an extraordinary learning opportunity - becoming fully certified Agile Facilitators with Coach Eric Tucker of the Scrum Alliance! As a long-term contributor to Seed's mission, Coach Eric has taught hundreds of students and has shared with them his expertise and passion for effective team facilitation. What makes this weekend even more remarkable is that our entire group consisted of volunteers who dedicated their weekend to professional development - a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in serving the nonprofit sector. For two intensive days, our team mastered crucial aspects of team facilitation and management: organizing effective meetings, resolving conflicts, fostering team coordination, and building stronger teams to deliver enhanced results for our clients. These new skills will directly benefit our non-profit partners, helping us create an even greater impact in our communities. We're especially grateful to Brooke Crowe for connecting us with Coach Eric, and to Gary Leung for going above and beyond in coordinating this transformative event, particularly in strengthening our partnerships with California State University, Fullerton and UC Irvine. Our newly certified team is better equipped than ever to assist our clients with effective facilitation and deliver exceptional results. At the heart of Seed is our invaluable asset - our leaders and volunteers. Last week, our Seed leaders and volunteers gathered here in Orange County, CA for our annual Leadership Retreat from all across the US. With the strong guidance and vision from our board Ajay Bawa, Leslie Williams, Robert Fortunato, and Hilary Beber Firestone, we dove into everything needed to take our projects to the next level: technical operations, client success management, and more. With over 30 leadership Seeders rolling up their sleeves for a full day of training and team-building fun, the Leadership Retreat was an amazing opportunity to not only level up but also to get to know each other better and discover the superpowers each person brings to the Seed team! What's more exciting: we also wholeheartedly welcome our newest executive team member Raiven Greenberg, MBA - we look forward to working with her and her talents to help us drive our growth and development effort!
