Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition Institute. Securing the biggest climate & clean energy solutions possible.
关于我们
The Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition, or SEEC, was founded in 2009 and has since grown to a group of over 90 members of the House of Representatives that fight for climate and clean energy policies. Like many of its peer organizations on the Hill, supporters of SEEC noticed limits in the group’s abilities to convene and advance priorities. As a result, in late 2023, SEEC Institute was established as a nonprofit organization.

SEEC Institute’s 2025 National Park Expedition: Great Smoky Mountains This June, SEEC Institute will lead a fact-finding expedition to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, bringing Members of Congress face-to-face with the realities of climate change in one of America’s most visited and biodiverse national parks. This visit, building on the work of years of Congressional parks trips, will: ?? Examine how climate change is impacting park ecosystems, biodiversity, and local economies. ?? Assess resilience efforts and determine what resources are needed to protect the park. ?? Engage with local experts on conservation strategies and the economic, environmental, and societal importance of national parks. National parks like the Smokies are at the frontline of climate and environmental shifts, impacting both nature and local economies. By grounding policy discussions in on-the-ground realities, this trip will help inform stronger, evidence-based solutions to safeguard our public lands for future generations. #NationalParks #Conservation #LocalEconomy #ClimatePolicy
