We met so many incredible innovators during our day in the bay last week. First we kicked off our IMPEL at Berkeley Lab program with our fellow sustainable building entrepreneurs. Then we joined our Harvard Innovation Labs peers at B-School Disrupt to pitch our ventures. Excited to see where these innovators go ?? ?? ??
Last week in San Francisco, founders from Harvard Innovation Labs' Launch Lab X and the HBS Rock Center for Entrepreneurship came together to harness the strength of our network and community. A special shout-out to my Rock Center partner and collaborator, Laurie Bishop! On Monday, founders connected over dumplings and lively conversation, sharing insights and building meaningful connections. It was wonderful to see founders join us from Ghana, Boston, New York, and the Bay Area. Tuesday brought together over 20 of Silicon Valley's top women investors, who shared insights and strengthened their connections with each other and with Harvard. Thank you Christina Melas-Kyriazi and Bain Capital for hosting. On Wednesday, Alfred Lin (#1 on Forbes Midas List) captivated the audience with his candid reflections as an operator and investor, sharing lessons from building Zappos and collaborating with some of the most iconic ventures of our time. His talk was followed by inspiring pitches from Launch Lab X and Harvard founders, showcasing the diversity and depth of ventures within our community. Our network is strong, and the support is truly inspiring. We’re grateful to have such remarkable individuals in our circle! Special thanks to ?? Nir Hindie, Emily W., Beth Lopez, Emily Harburg, Ph.D., Nikki Okrah, Ben Faw, Abe Ankumah, Shuai Li, Cathy Han, Piers MacNaughton, ScD, Lupita Almuhana, Paul Jun, Yehong Zhu, Brent Blackaby, Robert Nowell ??????, Lizzie Matusov, Eduardo Moreira, Joel Krupa, Bryce DeFigueiredo, Sascha Mornell, and Alex Popa for making this week so memorable! A huge thank you as well to our incredible Harvard team and partners—the connective tissue that makes these events possible: Rebecca Xiong, PhD, Jon Schaffrath, Allison Ciechanover, Shelby Grasso, Victoria (Vic) Woo, Ph.D., Adeeba Fazil, Amit Akhelikar, Florian Bertele, and @James. Stay tuned for updates on how the Harvard Innovation Labs and the Harvard Business School Rock Center for Entrepreneurship continue to foster innovation and connection. Next stop: Austin for SXSW! Today the Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Advisory Council approved the 2025-2027 plan for MassSave: ?? Authorizing $5B investment in energy efficiency improvements, a substantial increase over previous 3-year plans ? Expanding program offerings to include decarbonization measures such as heat pumps and electrical upgrades ? $1.6B dedicated to targeting low and moderate income residents ?? 1 million metric tons of CO2 averted This is a major win for MA residents and a big step towards the state's goal of net zero by 2050 https://lnkd.in/eRXQmcNR

We had a blast at Climate Tech Cocktails last night. What a show Katelyn Lyster and Matthew Myers!! Yes, we need more insulation, heat pumps and solar - but don't underestimate the power of cocktails to combat climate change ?? Big shout out to sponsors Breakthrough Energy , Activate & The Engine Accelerator for making it possible ??????
