What makes a good story? ?? A true story moves you. It inspires you. It grabs your attention and won’t let go. During “Testify: This is My Story” we explored how stories are used to educate, entertain and enlighten as well as the variety of techniques for telling a story (spoiler alert: it’s not just speaking about an experience). Ambie Award-winning podcaster and See Change veteran Ronald Young Jr., invited a curated group of renowned storytellers to our September flagship at Hula to share their stories and explore their unique approaches to storytelling. The lineup included Yasmin Elhady, a celebrated comedian and lawyer known for her humor and heart; Caroline Rose, a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter whose music blends sharp wit with raw emotion; Shannon Cason, an acclaimed storyteller who crafts deeply personal narratives; and Andy J. Pizza, a creative force inspiring audiences with his vibrant take on storytelling. Each brought their own voice, creating a tapestry of perspectives that captivated and inspired.
