关于我们
Sedimentologika is a community-driven Diamond Open Access (DOA) peer-reviewed scientific journal about sedimentology with no APC/free to publish and free to access for all. The journal aims to create a place where people can publish their research and access scientific studies on all types of sedimentary processes, methods, deposits, and environments, across all spatial and temporal scales, on Earth or any other planetary body, for free. The published material will be free to share (i.e., no embargo period) since the authors retain the copyright. Sedimentologika is driven by the community for the community and is part of a broader DOA movement in geosciences. Sedimentologika aspires to emancipate from the financial barriers associated with private publishing houses to provide direct and equal access to science to all citizens, scientists, and institutions all over the globe. This journal will be defined by Open Science principles to promote ethical dissemination of science and knowledge, following high equality, diversity, and inclusion standards.

This series of practical guides is becoming a very useful resource on the fast moving landscape of open scholarly communication! In 2020 we started with a practical guide on Creative Commons. In later years we have seen guides on preprints, open science practices for early career researchers and predatory and questionable publishing practices. This week the 5th guide came out: “How to flip your journal. A guide to more equitable publishing with Diamond Open Access”. All guides a free to read, download (and remix): - https://lnkd.in/eTFUB2Kz - https://lnkd.in/eVzyg-Si - https://lnkd.in/evv7ft3Q - https://lnkd.in/eUNqNkrA - https://lnkd.in/eD57TVqy UKB samenwerkingsverband Universiteiten van Nederland NWO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) DANS Open Science NL

I have the impression that this will be a good year for the revival of palynology as an important research tool in our portfolio of projects at STARR: State of Texas Advanced Resource Recovery Program Two gems that are already out there as part of ongoing collaborations with external partners and our own Peter Flaig: Dr. Maria Antonieta Lorente et al. (2025) A glimpse into the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian) palynology of the Arlington Archosaur Site, Texas, USA: Palynology, DOI:10.1080/01916122.2024.2441667 Noto et al.
