Securing Safe Food is a 501(c)(3) with a mission to combat food insecurity and enhance the accessibility of allergen-free foods. Through strategic partnerships, clear communication, research, and education, we revolutionize allergy-friendly options in under-resourced food pantries, providing nutritionally balanced alternatives to disrupt the hunger loop and reduce food waste. Our vision is a world where individuals with dietary restrictions can enjoy meals without compromising their health, ensuring food security and inclusivity for all.

  • We are proud to partner with Voyage Foods to enhance access to allergen-free food staples while promoting a more resilient food supply chain. This March, Voyage donated more surplus nut-free spread to five of our affiliated food pantries, from Greater Boston to Portland, Oregon.

    Innovating foods that are truly accessible to all is at the heart of everything we do at Voyage, which is why we’re a proud partner to Securing Safe Food Corp.! Securing Safe Food works with food pantries across the U.S. to ensure that under-resourced communities have access to nutritious, allergen-free foods—like our Peanut-Free Spread. Our donations of our Nut-Free Spreads not only support those with food allergies—they help to reduce food waste and promote our planet’s wellbeing. By sending our surplus product to SSF’s network of pantries, we’re doing our part to create a more sustainable food system. To date, we’ve donated approximately 1,228 pounds of our top 9 allergen-free spread to pantries & individuals in need. That’s the same as: ?? over 17,000 “P”B&J sandwiches ?? over 34,000 spoonfuls of Peanut-Free Spread ?? over 55,000 peanut-free cookies Here’s to spreading awareness of #FoodAllergies, eliminating food insecurity and securing a future of safe and delicious food for all.

  • We are thrilled to be joining Chopt Creative Salad Company this Wednesday for an in-person fundraiser! ???? From 10:30am to 8:00pm, 15% of all Chopt Scarsdale’s sales will go directly to SSF to support our core Food Pantry Program and education initiatives. Even better? SSF’s Director of Donor Relations, Sara Hantgan, will be onsite all day to answer your questions and spread awareness of our mission to a broader community. If you live near Scarsdale, we hope you’ll come say hello and support our efforts to make allergen-safe foods accessible to everyone with a dietary restriction. Every salad purchased on Wednesday—whether you make a purchase in-store, or order ahead via the Chopt App or website—will have a lasting impact and help our student-led organization continue to grow.     As Food Allergy Awareness Week comes to a close, we renew our commitment to providing allergy-safe foods to those who need them most. This March, SSF joined microbiome-based hair and skincare startup Yobee Care, founded by pediatrician and researcher Dr. Ruchi Gupta, to discuss food allergies, the atopic march, and using narratives of inclusion and access to empower allergy-free health.
