One of the biggest pieces of low hanging fruit we see with victims of cyber-attacks is the presence of RATs (Remote Access Tools). Whether the victim is on their own for IT or has a Managed Service Provider, RATs are commonly found after an incident and are often associated with a social engineering attack to gain initial access. We cannot patch our largest attack surface, the human, but we can train them. More importantly we can remove the ability for known tools to be installed for malicious purposes. If your company or MSP cannot guarantee that RATs are stopped at the source you should chat with us before they steal what matters to you.
