Creative problem solving and self directed focus are key in this position, as well as an interest in being a multidisciplinary fabricator and learning new skills as we never make the same thing twice. We’ve been working on a project for our friends over at Channing Street Copper, creating the hardwood walnut knobs and handles for their beautiful stove: Copper. These induction stoves are all about environmental emissions and craft, so no wonder they wanted to use a beautiful material like the local walnut hardwood we’ve sourced for them. Happy New Year! We're back in the fabrication shop, and kicking off the new year with some more acoustic felt projects. Here is one we completed a few months ago... Acoustic felt is light weight, affordable, comes in a multitude of colors and can be applied to spaces to help with noise issues in many different ways. This felt curtain panel was designed to help with sound and privacy between spaces by BWC Architects. Thick acoustic felt, custom cut to designer spec. We import acoustic felt ‘designer board’ sheets in recycled PET. This sound absorbing felt material comes in 1/2” and 1/4” thicknesses, in any color, and we can cut to specification in our Oakland fabrication shop. Design services available also for creating ceiling felt acoustics, curtain panels, room / office wall partitions and anything else you can dream up. Check out these 20 plus accurate double sided organic but precise carvings we recently made. Cut out of highly figured salvaged walnut planks from Mendocino County. These were milled to thickness and then carved with our 5-Axis CNC router. https://lnkd.in/d8JtdxT4
