Secret Aardvark Trading Co. is a small company based in Portland Oregon. We believe that bland, boring food is unacceptable! Our goal is to be "The flavor that kicks you in the mouth"! We started by peddling our sauces at the Portland Farmers markets in 2004. From an original line up of ten sauces, we have narrowed our product line down to five sauces and more on the way (stay tuned). We have two cooking sauces; Drunken Garlic Black Bean Sauce, an Asian inspired spicy whiskey laced marinade, pasta, and stir-fry sauce and Drunken Jerk Jamaican Marinade, the perfect balance of thyme, allspice, scotch bonnet peppers, garlic and of course Eastside Distilling rum to make it “Drunken” as well as balances the flavors. Our flagship sauce is Secret Aardvark Habanero Hot Sauce. Our Aardvark Habanero Hot sauce is served on the tables of over 200 of Portland’s coolest food joints. You may also find us on tables in the Seattle, Denver, Oakland, and Los Angeles area, if you know where to look. All of the sauces are available in many secretly ordained stores in Oregon, Washington, Montana, New York, California, Colorado, Illinois, and Texas and internationally. Check our website for the not so secret list, decoder ring not required. If your favorite restaurant or grocery store doesn’t carry Secret Aardvark let them know they should and tell ‘em to contact us here. We’ll do the rest!

Thank you POD foods for getting Secret Aardvark into Fresh Thyme!
Innovation is in the eye of the beholder. One of my proudest launches recently has been Secret Aardvark Trading Co. at Fresh Thyme. This is fantastic product with great branding. It’s also been around for 20 years now. There are tons of GREAT mature brands like this who deserve to be in front of more consumers, but haven’t had national distribution. To the consumers in the 70 Fresh Thyme stores across the Midwest, this product is “NEW”. This gives Fresh Thyme a chance to differentiate since it isn’t carried in UNFI or KeHE so their competitors won’t have it.
