This new 130,000 SF campus for Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia enhances the community by offering essential food distribution, a marketplace for local agencies, and volunteer opportunities. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to address food insecurity by providing a centralized hub for food collection, storage, and distribution. The building features a modern, sustainable design with energy efficient systems and materials in an effort to minimize environmental impacts. ? The food bank includes a spacious warehouse with advanced refrigeration and storage capabilities, a commercial kitchen prepared to triple the impact in the community and dedicated spaces for volunteers. The architectural design emphasizes accessibility and community engagement, with ample parking, easy-to-navigate layouts, and inviting public spaces. Jordan first joined us in 2018 as a high school student through the Summer 500 program, a paid internship designed to give young people real-world experience. What started as a short-term role as a Warehouse Associate quickly turned into something more! Now, years later, Jordan is our Inventory Coordinator, and we’ve watched him grow into a vital part of our team. His dedication to our mission runs deep—whether he’s managing inventory, working hand-in-hand with partner agencies, or simply brightening the warehouse with his positive spirit. Jordan’s passion for helping others is contagious, and his hard work reflects his commitment to making a real difference.
