The Second Nature-led University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) is highlighted as a model for collaborative climate action in a recent The Citizen article written by Jacob Mosenda. UC3 is a core program of Second Nature that connects 23 of the world’s leading research universities committed to accelerating climate action on campus, in communities, and at a global scale. In the article, it’s stated that the Tanzanian "Five-University Consortium on Climate" aims to emulate UC3's successful approach, fostering local partnerships and community-focused solutions for climate resilience. On the flight to COP29 Azerbaijan, clear reminders of the infrastructure challenges to achieve global climate goals. Yes, including the air travel that I'm actively using...well aware of that critique for those of us who choose to travel here. Also know that connecting with international climate colleagues once / year at the COP and experiencing first-hand the way other cultures are tackling the climate challenges has unique benefits. Will be providing more updates throughout as I'm sure others will as well who are part of our America Is All In pavilion event tomorrow and UNFCCC UN Side Event next week!
