Second Day is joining forces with Progressive Pipeline! This merger exponentially expands Second Day's capacity, curriculum, and infrastructure, enabling us to support more talented, diverse young adults in joining the social impact workforce through the Impact Fellowship and strategic partnerships. I'm incredibly grateful to hand the baton to Michael Michaelson and the immensely talented Erin D. to continue creating on-ramps and elevating all the folks that are impacted by this work. As part of this evolution, I am transitioning from my role at Second Day. I'm very proud of what we achieved this past year and very happy to have gotten to work alongside so many amazing Fellows, alumni, interns, and partners. A huge thank-you to Mariam Matin, Philip Dearing, Brigit Goebelbecker, Timothy Cho, and the entire Second Day Board for your unwavering support and confidence in me. Thank you for letting me be part of this amazing journey. I am excited to see Second Day’s continued impact and can’t wait to witness all that the team accomplishes in the years ahead!

Some big news to round out the year: Progressive Pipeline is joining forces with Second Day! I've long admired Second Day's work to build a diverse talent pipeline into the nonprofit and social impact workforce - and the care, intention, and heart they put into supporting their fellows and alumni. (Check out their Impact Report in the comments!) After collaborating on programming for years, it became clear that our missions and values are deeply aligned. So I'm thrilled that we're combining the infrastructure we've built to recruit, match, and support students and recent grads as they launch their social change careers. Both programs will continue to deploy fellows: The Second Day fellowship will focus on non-profit and social impact careers, while the Progressive Pipeline fellowship will prepare fellows to work in politics, advocacy, democracy, and civic engagement. But, by joining forces, we'll expand our recruitment reach, deepen training and coaching for fellows, offer more resources for their managers, and strengthen alumni programming and support. I'm especially excited to welcome Mariam Matin and Philip Dearing to our board and Erin D. to our team! A huge thank you to Mariam Matin, Philip Dearing, Brigit Goebelbecker, Timothy Cho, and everyone who helped build Second Day - and especially Jorge Méndez, who has done *so* much to make this transition seamless. I'm grateful for your trust - and excited to see what we can do together in 2025!
