  • We had the best time at our recent Fellowship of Christian Athletes Basketball Clinic! Forty-five kids in grades 1-8 were coached and encouraged in their skills by 37 adults, college students, and teens - skills for both basketball and in life. The Gospel was clearly shared and we are praying fervently to see spiritual fruit for the glory of God. To Cody Pentecost and all those who volunteered - thank you for your generosity and commitment to our Springfield community!

  • Are you a college student or recent graduate who feels called to lead and serve in the local church? Second Baptist is pleased to announce The Residency at Second, a 14-month commitment (May 2025 - July 2026) for those who feel God's calling to church ministry leadership. The Residency will combine practical training, spiritual mentorship, and hands-on ministry experience with our seasoned leadership team. Clarify your calling through specialized training in your chosen ministry track as well as comprehensive training in other areas of ministry - all in a relational, full-time, cohort-based experience. Those who have completed a 2-year associate degree or 4-year bachelor degree, and are willing to commit to a 14-month, full-time residency, are invited to apply. Applications are being accepted now through December 31, 2024.
