Our guest speaker, SECNY’s Director of Mortgage Lending, provided fun facts and an insightful discussion about rates. It's beginning to feel like the holiday season and there is so much to do in Central New York! We are so excited to participate in the "Holiday Open House" at The Octagon House by decorating and donating a "Let's Go SU!" tree. The Wilcox Octagon house is a rare home built in 1856, and is on the National Registry of Historical Places. It is one of the few octagon homes left in the Eastern part of the United States that is restored, and has public access to all of its levels. We are so proud of our Dress Down for Good program and how it helps out our community. We are even more proud of our local veterans and being able to support their financial needs. When the two come together? Well, that is what being about Service, Education, and Community stands for -- so this month, we were thrilled to donate to #HonorFlightSyracuse! Honor Flight's Mission is to honor America’s veterans by transporting them to Washington, DC to visit the national memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice at no cost. Veterans are flown based on their application date; however, adjustments may be made by HFS based on the veteran’s health status. What a great way to start the week! Based on a submission regarding our student branch program, SECNY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION is extremely honored to have received the Mastercard Financial Literacy and Education Award in the 5th Annual Community Institution Segment Awards! Our four student branch programs encompass everything from professional skills to member service training to positive financial skills development. To our entire student branch team from SECNY liaisons to student participants to school staff and administration- we are so proud of each of you! Special congratulations and a huge thank you to Jillian Kerekes for her leadership of and tireless dedication to programs that exemplify our commitment to Service, Education and Community!

Our Skaneateles Branch Team all wore pink today to to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer, raise awareness, and support the fight against the disease. Thank you to all of our healthcare professionals who do the work every day to take care of so many of our loved ones.
