On March 17, 2025, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Deputy Hector Cuevas tragically lost his life in the line of duty while serving his community at the Victorville Police Department. He leaves behind a loving wife and two small children, who must now navigate life without their devoted husband and father. The Sheriff's Employees' Benefit Association would be grateful for your support as we, as an association, grieve the loss of one of our beloved partners. Every donation, no matter the amount, is a meaningful way to show them that they are not alone—that we stand with them. Deputy Cuevas dedicated his life to protecting others. Let’s come together to honor his sacrifice by supporting the ones he cherished most.

Even in the face of danger, brave men and women still step forward to wear the badge. They don’t serve for recognition or wealth, but to protect the innocent, uphold the law, and keep our communities safe. Already in 2025, several SEBA deputies have been violently attacked, and across the country, we’ve lost nine officers. Enough is enough—those who victimize others must be held accountable. To all our law enforcement officers: We see you, we stand with you, and we appreciate you. Stay safe, and thank you for your service. - Grant Ward, SEBA President
