Last Tuesday, the Seattle University community came together for #SeattleUGives and raised an outstanding $921k+ to support students, Athletics, scholarships and other vital programs.?? ? Did you know? Seattle University's?College of Education?has started work on a three-year, $2.2 million grant-funded initiative focused on transforming the relationship between eight Washington state K-12 schools and their respective communities. The Public Education in Beloved Community Initiative (PEBCI) is a partnership between the College of Education, five publicly funded charter schools and three traditional public schools across Washington state, funded by the Gates Foundation. For her impressive career achievements and enduring embodiment of Seattle University’s Jesuit mission and values, Keisha Jackson, M.A., ’14 MA is this year's Outstanding Recent Alumna. Currently, Jackson serves as the Global Lead of the Innovative Educator Experts and Showcase Schools programs and supervises the Technology Education and Learning Supports (TEALS) program’s regional managers. Jackson is on Seattle University’s Board of Regents and is an active board member for Treehouse for Kids, Boyer Children's Clinic and UW Consulting and Business Development Center (CBDC). As a graduate of the Student Development Administration program in the College of Education, Jackson continues to be active with her alma mater, from attending events to serving on advisory boards.
