Seattle IT was well-represented at yesterday’s Washington Digital Government Summit in Tacoma. Chief Technology Officer Rob Lloyd helped to deliver the opening remarks, and multiple staff members spoke at panels during the event: ·??Architecture & Strategy Manager Aurilee G. appeared on a panel about cybersecurity principles. ·???Associate Director Harvey Arnone spoke about state and local collaboration. ·???Chief Privacy Officer Ginger Armbruster took part in a session about the responsibility that comes with handling government data, moderated by Interim Director of Applications Ashley Cooper, MBA. ·????Chief of Staff William Smith, MJ-LEL talked about the tools and programs needed to build the workplace and workforce of the future. By all accounts, it was a noteworthy gathering of government IT professionals exchanging industry knowledge.

Another Digital Workplace Day is in the books! Last week, the City of Seattle hosted in-person and virtual attendees from the City of Seattle, King County, WA, City of Portland, City of Tacoma, City of Bellevue, Washington, Snohomish County, WA, and State of Washington. Attendees were able to connect with colleagues while hearing from industry experts about the technologies and best practices that help to transform our work. Digital Workplace Day started with a warm welcome from Councilmember Joy Hollingsworth and Seattle IT’s Chief Technology Officer, Rob Lloyd. The dynamic lineup of sessions focused on leveraging digital tools to enhance productivity and collaboration in our everyday work when delivering critical government services that address public safety, health, homelessness, and building thriving communities.?
