The Seattle Advertising Industry Emergency Fund (SAIEF) was formed in 1989 and is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization of Seattle advertising professionals, whose sole purpose is to provide financial help for individuals working in the local advertising community who confront a sudden crisis in their lives and are unable to meet their financial responsibilities.
SAIEF raises monies through affordable, fun events that are open to all members of the advertising community–currently, SAIEF’s Bowling & Billiards event each March and the Summer Media Fest each August.
The key to SAIEF is distributing grants to individual industry members in need. Grant requests are submitted to our Board of Directors and acted upon based on recommendations of a three-person committee within our board. All requests and fund disbursements are confidential, known only to the committee, not even shared with other board members.
