A new feature by Ocean News & Technology details how our SP-48 USV is powering underwater exploration. By combining DBV Technology's innovative Portable Underwater GPS (PUG?) application with the SP-48, the system enables: - An unlimited number of submerged assets to determine their positions - End users' underwater positioning with improved accuracy and higher position update rates - Simplified logistics for underwater missions, making them more efficient and cost-effective One example of this is the T-DOG? sensor, which utilizes both PUG? and iLBL? technologies. It can be deployed with the SeaTrac SP-48 USV as the surface platform to conduct precise measurements of seafloor movement. This helps scientists better understand tectonic plate shift movement, seafloor subsidence, and other geological processes. Read more here: https://bit.ly/40zxUS2 #uncrewedsystems #marineindustry

Wonderful, lively and friendly vibe in San Diego at 16th annual TMA Blue Tech week. Nice to see SeaTrac customers and partners exhibiting, demo-ing and speaking on panels. Among many offerings, Thayer Mahan’s Kevin Lopes on autonomous acoustic surveillance, and mini acoustic maker blue IQ’s booth and demo are not to be missed. Kudos to Matt Classen and team for hosting/sustaining one of my very fave blue tech events! #TMABlueTechWeek #BlueiQ #ThayerMahan

Re: St. Andrews, most people reflexively think birthplace of golf, Scotland’s oldest university (and Prince William and Kate’s alma mater) and perhaps the iconic “Chariot’s of Fire” beach, but Jigger and I recently found another attraction: a gleaming Scottish Oceans Institute with a tagged sea lion greeter and an enviable seaside location. https://lnkd.in/eKvHMmZK

Nice to be able to catch an ocean innovation talk at Stanford Research Institute’s PARC campus last night featuring a rockstar, all female cast of brilliant ocean tech champions: the tireless Monterey Bay Aquarium Founder/Exec Dir Julie Packard, Italian maverick Co-Dir of the Doerr School of Sustainability Fiorenza Micheli, ultra competent SRI Hardware Research & Tech Lab Dir Julie Bert, and KQED filmmaker Rosa Tuiran. Just another Tuesday night in Silicon Valley, in other words. #oceaninnovation #SRI #MBARI

Our SP-48 uncrewed surface vehicle is featured in the environment coastal & offshore (eco) magazine Marine Instruments Buyers' Guide, an essential tool for those involved in marine research, monitoring or environmental management. The feature details how our innovative USV is revolutionizing marine data collection and research, and touches on our ongoing collaboration with The University of Southern Mississippi and NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico to test for hypoxic conditions. Discover more about our SP-48's capabilities in the guide --> https://lnkd.in/gA8wREq9 #uncrewedsystems #marineindustry

?? Exciting news from #OCEANS2024! ?? SeaTrac’s Hobie Boeschenstein attended the OCEANS Conference in Halifax and was thrilled to have connected with Dr. Jason McKenna from The University of Southern Mississippi. During the conference, McKenna presented on the topic of our recently published joint case study detailing the use of uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) to map potential hypoxic levels in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. As detailed in the case study, late last year SeaTrac deployed one of its SP-48 USVs for a 14-day mission to collect data offshore. Following the success of that initial project phase, USM is now utilizing multiple SeaTrac USVs to collect additional data that will help the institution understand how hypoxia impacts marine life and ultimately how we can enable a more sustainable U.S. Gulf. This is a major milestone for our collaboration, and SeaTrac is proud to see our remote marine data collection abilities showcased on such a prominent stage. Check out the full case study for more details on how we're advancing marine research with industry leading USVs: https://bit.ly/3zlBSmn #uncrewedsystems #marineindustry
