About a month ago we had the opportunity to host our first retreat for our cohort alumni. We had a full day of sisterhood, relaxation, and healing. It was truly a time for women to gather and exhale. We are committed to continue to provide safe spaces for our community and creating environments for them to exhale. ?? Cohort applications for our next class open on Monday. Thank you Brittany Wayman for sharing such and impactful workshop with the ladies. We truly appreciate you and your partnership.
What a powerful session!??? Our?Getting Unstuck Workshop with A Seat At The Table (Indy)?brought together an amazing group of high capacity women ready to break through barriers and take action. We explored what keeps us stuck—fear, uncertainty, overthinking—and more importantly, how to move forward with clarity and confidence. Here are some key takeaways: ???Identify the real roadblock?– Sometimes, what we?think?is the problem isn’t the root cause. ???Small steps lead to big momentum?– Progress isn’t about giant leaps; it’s about consistent action. ???Mindset shifts everything?– Reframing challenges can turn obstacles into opportunities. A huge thank you to Jordan Coleman,MPA for the opportunity to share. A Seat At The Table (Indy) is more than a cohort, it is a community! Want to bring this workshop to your organization, community or team? DM me or visit my website to learn more! https://lnkd.in/eEdxufm4

Last Thursday, our founder and CEO, Jordan Coleman,MPA, delivered a powerful speech at the IBLC Unity Rally at the Indiana State House. Speaking with a heartfelt blend of pride and determination, she highlighted the critical importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Coleman reflected on continuing the legacy of trailblazing women like her grandmother while acknowledging the disappointment that the fight for basic equity still persists in 2025. Indiana’s recent ban on DEI initiatives is a direct attack on progress made in schools, workplaces, and communities. "DEI isn't just a buzzword," she emphasized. "It's the foundation for thriving and compassionate communities. For women of color, DEI programs are about survival, creating safe spaces in environments that have historically silenced us." Despite the challenges ahead, Coleman’s message was clear: "We will not be silenced or sidelined. We will continue building tables where our voices are celebrated because our community stands united in strength." Here’s how you can help:? Stay Engaged: Women of color must remain vocal and involved. Lead in your communities and workplaces.? Build & Support Community: Strengthen your connections, uplift others, and foster solidarity.? Support Our Mission: Despite over $75,000 in lost funding due to DEI dismantling, we are steadfast in empowering women of color. We call on our community to rally together and help us bridge this funding gap. Every contribution ensures that we can continue creating spaces of empowerment, healing, and leadership. ?? https://lnkd.in/gYDXNd4z Join us as we forge a path forward where every woman has a seat at the table. Thank you IBLC and Alexis W. for the invitation.?#ASATCohort #DEI #WomenEmpowerment
