Yesterday, Search joined forces with the They Deserve More coalition in Springfield to advocate for increased wages for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while opposing the proposed cut to their service hours. We marched to the Capitol to ensure legislators understand the critical role Medicaid funding plays in supporting DSPs and the people supported by Search. Together, we raised our voices to fight for fair wages and the future of quality, inclusive care. #DSP #IDD #ProtectMedicaid

While this investment is important, it also includes a concerning tradeoff: a cut of 900,000 DSP service hours across the state’s community residential system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
