At ZGP, our mission is to acquire and grow a remarkable small or medium-sized business, carrying forward the legacy the founder has built with the same dedication and passion. In my career to date, I’ve had the opportunity to conduct market research and diligence for both small and large businesses in the technology, healthcare, and industrial sectors. I also worked in supply chain and logistics, where I realized the critical importance of developing innovative solutions to navigate complex business environments. Through these experiences, I’ve gained a deep understanding of what drives success in business and how to overcome the inevitable challenges along the way. As I embark on this new journey with Zenith Growth Partners to acquire one great business, I’m excited to begin my search, focusing on industries such as medical equipment and logistics, where my background provides valuable insights into market dynamics and challenges. Anyone I’ve interacted with over the past two years knows that this is the culmination of many months of reflection, preparation and most of all support from my family, friends and colleagues. A particular thank you to my wife, Charlotte, who has been a constant source of wisdom and support, and the Kellogg Zell Fellows Program, an invaluable resource during my time in business school. I couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey alongside William Adams, my oldest friend of 30(!) years and someone whom I admire greatly, both personally and professionally. Quick life update! After graduating from The Wharton School, I've decided to stay in the Philly area (can't get enough of Reading Terminal Market) to launch New Cheval! Growing up, I watched my mom build Cheval Computing from the ground up at our kitchen table in Houston. Her hard work inspired me to start something of my own (enter New Cheval). Now, with New Cheval, my plan is pretty straightforward: find one exceptional business, buy it, and help it grow. I'm not just looking to invest; I'm all about getting my hands dirty, being part of the day-to-day operations, and helping build something special. Last week, Century House Partners successfully closed the acquisition of Premier Tree Specialists (www.premiertreesllc.com), a leader in arboriculture, tree, and plant healthcare services in the Cleveland metro area.?I am excited to step in to lead the organization as CEO and continue building upon a great foundation with a talented and motivated team. ? While the list of all those that made this possible is too long to include here, I am particularly grateful to my wife, Carolina Madrid, who encouraged me to pursue entrepreneurship through acquisition in the first place.?While I signed up to endure the highs and lows of searching for a business to acquire, she did not--yet she faced them alongside me the entire way.? ?
