Scheduled for completion in March 2025, we have begun roof trussing installation and the insulated panel-work for three advanced freezer rooms. This cutting-edge facility will greatly enhance our HoReCa distribution network, offering an impressive storage capacity of up to 720 pallets. I’m delighted to share that construction of the new state-of-the-art temperature-controlled distribution facility for our Seapride Food Service business in Walvis Bay, Namibia, is progressing well. With a capacity of 720 pallets and an investment of $2 million, this facility is set to be operational by early 2025. It will increase our storage and occupational resources capacity for Seapride Food Service in Walvis Bay by 50%, allowing us to meet the rising demand for food service supply on the coast. The economic potential in Namibia is truly encouraging. The ongoing developments across various sectors highlight the bright future of the region, and our new distribution facility will help ensure that DP World is ready to support this growth by offering world-class solutions to our clients and customers. Seapride Foods Zambia is committed to strengthening our community and is pleased to support Chisomo, a local orphanage providing a safe environment for children in need. Our engagement with Chisomo includes not only financial support but also active involvement in educational workshops, recreational activities, and future mentorship programs. In collaboration with Rich's Africa, we recently organised a cake decorating day at Chisomo, which was a joyous and enriching experience for the children. Supporting our community is both a responsibility and a privilege for us at Seapride Foods Zambia. We are dedicated to making a positive impact and helping to create a brighter future for the children at Chisomo. Full Proof Mission, initiated by Aaron Chilunjika, began with a focus on educating street children. Observing children selling cigarettes, Aaron was motivated to address their needs and started teaching classes. With support from his employer, he expanded services to better support the children. Chisomo offers essential care to street children, aiming to reunite them with their families when possible and provide education, training, and recreation. Since 2004, T-Rex Triathlon Training Tribe has hosted holiday camps at The Friedenau Dam, providing enriching experiences for children. In 2011, Seapride Foods (Pty) Ltd began supporting by donating food, and their involvement continues with both Any-Day and Sleepover Camps. Currently, T-Rex Tribe accommodates up to 25 children for Any-Day Camps and 30 for Sleepover Camps. In 2021, they expanded to include children from orphanages at The Otjikoto Wilderness Camp, which now hosts up to 35 children in their Winter Wonderland Camp. Activities include hiking, game drives, sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises. Looking ahead to their 20th anniversary in 2025, T-Rex Tribe aims to increase the number of camps and extend opportunities to more orphanage groups.
