This holiday season, you can #SupportAFamilyLikeMine. We're raising $30,000 to help hundreds of families in our community—families like Pam's—get access to the support they need for economic success, health and wellness, and youth development. Every dollar you give creates real impact for families who, like many of ours, have faced challenges and found strength through community. We were proud to partner with the California Attorney General's Office to host an incredible youth community conversations event right here at SEADC. Youth from all over the Bay Area gathered to share their voices, experiences and hopes for the future. These conversations are all part of a larger initiative to hear directly from young leaders across California, and we're grateful to play our part in lifting up their stories. A huge shoutout to our facilitators: Damon Brown, special assistant attorney general, and Virginia Corrigan, deputy attorney general for the Department of Justice's Bureau of Children’s Justice And much respect to Tong Thao, the mastermind behind organizing this from the Office of Community Awareness, Response and Engagement!

Exciting News: SEADC is breaking ground on our new home! Since 1977, SEADC has been dedicated to supporting Southeast Asian families and immigrant communities in San Francisco. With unwavering support from the City of San Francisco, State of California, and generous individuals and organizations, we’re thrilled to announce the purchase of our permanent building at 679-683 McAllister Street. This new space will allow us to deepen our impact, grow our programs, and strengthen the bonds within the communities we serve. We’re hosting a small blessing ceremony this Thursday, October 24, where we will honor the champions who made this dream a reality. This milestone is not just ours—it belongs to every person who believed in and supported our mission along the way. The best is yet to come. Let’s keep moving forward—together.

The 3rd annual Ancestors Day was a beautiful success, even with the unpredictable weather! We're grateful to have partnered with the Center for Empowering Refugees and Immigrants and the Presidio Trust to bring this day to life. ???? Over 150 people joined us—including monks, laymen and some amazing performers—to honor seven generations of our ancestors. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Meet David Cady! David’s been holding it down as our HR generalist and office admin since early 2023, and we couldn’t be luckier to have him! Before joining SEADC, David spent time assisting English teachers in rural Japan and supporting community college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now, he’s all about making sure our team has everything we need to keep making an impact in the Tenderloin and beyond. Whether it’s handling HR, keeping the office running smoothly, or backing up our crew in a pinch, David is always on it. Let’s show David some love for being the behind-the-scenes hero keeping us going!
