Last week, BlueSwell startup founders headed to Rhode Island for an action-packed week of networking, mentorship, and growth at BlueSwell Rhode Island Week! ???? As part of the fifth cohort of this innovative bluetech accelerator program, the founders—focused on ocean sustainability—were exposed to new opportunities, resources, and connections in the Ocean State. The three-day session consisted of field trips to the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, and Innovate Newport, opportunities to learn from and network with leaders in Rhode Island's blue economy, roundtable discussions, and more! We'd like to extend a warm thank you to the Plymouth Foundation for hosting the Blue Future Conference on October 21st and 22nd. Hailey Bathurst and Nadir Ait-Laoussine from our team attended the conference. Hailey spoke on the Marine Public Policy Roundtable facilitated by Stacey Messier. Our strategy for tackling climate issues must incorporate an ocean of stakeholders, with an emphasis on the positive impact of public policy initiatives on innovation.
