In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, we celebrate the resilience and dedication of youth caregivers. There are more than 1.6 million caregivers in the United States aged 15-18, balancing the demands of school, extracurricular activities, and family responsibilities. Often, they put the needs of others before their own time and well-being. Today, we're shining a spotlight on Maya, a high school senior who completed over 30 hours of training in our San Diego Caregiver Connections program. Her story is a testament to the strength and compassion of young caregivers, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those they care for. #nationalfamilycaregiversmonth #NFCM

Celebrating National Family Caregivers Month! Family caregivers are the backbone of our healthcare and long-term care systems. They offer vital support to aging parents, spouses, and loved ones, all while juggling their own professional and personal responsibilities. We are proud to highlight the tremendous impact of San Diego Caregiver Connections, our training and peer support program. With the help of our partners, Determined Health, County of San Diego IHSS Public Authority, George G. Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers, Inc.?, Grossmont Healthcare District, STEPPING HIGHER INC, and United Women of East Africa Support Team - UWEAST, over 6,000 participants completed over 60,000 hours of training in the first year. Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient caregiving community. For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/gWizPEe8 #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth #NFCM
