Today, Girl Scouts USA is 113 years old! On this day in 1912, Juliette Gordon Low welcomed the first 18 Girl Scouts in Savannah, Georgia. This year also marks 108 years of Girl Scouts San Diego! Since the founding of Troop 1 in Coronado in January 1917, GSSD has been empowering girls to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
