This news has been a long time coming, and I’m glad to finally share it publicly.
Two and a half years ago, this miraculous journey began when Peter Cortle was accidentally cc’d by a potential partner into a confidential email thread.
I was lost for words—how could it be that, out of all the Peters in the world, our direct competitor gets cc’d BY ACCIDENT into such an email? Insane.
But God had plans beyond anything I could have imagined…
It turns out that Peter and I share one mission with many overlapping visions for the future.
Since May 2024, two years after that wayward email (or so I thought), Harness and StartupTree are now one, and I have the entirely unexpected privilege of serving as CEO of StartupTree moving forward.
All Harness customers have seamlessly transitioned, and are now benefiting from a more robust StartupTree system. We’re rolling out AI-powered updates to enhance both admin and community member experiences, with a roadmap designed to empower users to 10X their output without added work. #WorkSmarterNotHarder (A lesson from my time in the US Navy—thanks, team).
As we approach 200,000 members being served, growing 40% annually, we’re seeing new opportunities to help each person advance in ways that excite them and create value for others in both expected and unexpected ways.
